Today, I'm going to make a kind of a review about my very first Angelic Pretty dress:
THE WHIPPED MAGIC / MAGIC WHIP
in the colourway: lemon yellow x pink
Please understand: AP is photographing their stuff with much flashlight. The real colours are mostly some more intensive. I've took my photos without any flashlight, just with daylight.
This is the front, without a petticoat underneath:
As you maybe know: AP made their dresses with a little inbuild petticoat,
so it's slightly poofy without anything underneath.
This is the 'buildin petticoat' from AP with a A-line petticoat underneath.
The front, back & side, with a A-line petticoat underneath:
Let's start with the details, I love so much:
The detachable waist ties:
They are decorated with soft lace and a pearl bead at the end of them.
The green button is in the same colour shade as in the print. A fresh looking may-green, not a pastel one.
The green button is in the same colour shade as in the print. A fresh looking may-green, not a pastel one.
The pink bows in the middle of the sleeve are looking a little like self bound:
The big (dekoltee) front bow is decorated with the same pastel pink beads as the waist ties:
This bow, is NOT detachable of course~
Come to my favourite topic here, the 'Lace Swatch'♥♥♥ AP is to produce lace, for every single dress design. Sure, they have their standard lace too, but for the bottom of the dresses is there mostly an especially lace design.
Here we have pastel pink scalloped lace with cupcakes, forks and little hearts.
Here you can see it the best:
So, and I'm a good girl, I've even made some print swatches ^__^ I'm sorry for the ones who're wanted to see the print colourway design, originally from AP, but I can't find it. This dress is released in 2008. Too old for all.
There are alternate rows from stripes with dots to cupcakes in a front perspective and bird's eye perspective.
Okay, that's it, with the swatches. There are much more different kinds of cupcake designs in both perspectives.
I have to confess that the yellow colourway isn't the one, that I'll choose normally. But this design is so pink and full with other colours that it's really pretty for me.
My wish colour from the Magic Whip is black.
But... well I'm really satisfied with this. There aren't many good dresses who'll fit me. I have a big bust... or better: a way too big boobs for lolita. So I'm always looking for clothes who are pretty cute AND with a little more shirring.
With this dress I've figured out, that the dresses with full back shirring will be great for me. This dress have a length from 89cm and I'm 1,70m. It shouldn't be shorter for me. For lolita it's better to be ... 1,65m as the maximum.
The dress is roundown made of high quality cotton. The lace is a soft chemical one, all in, this dress is decorated with four different sorts of lace.
I've got this cutie second hand on the official german Lolita community Dunkelsüß for only 150€. This is really a good price, I think. The original price was 24,040¥ So that's around 120€ more than I've paid for it.
Now I'm looking for the socks. Anyone there who's selling the pink colourway of them?
However, I have a complete coord with this, and I think it's good~
Here at last is a picture of me, wearing it. It's made in our precious garden in summer, with fresh colored hair, of course♥
